Hi! I'm Alise Matsumura, a graphic designer and multimedia artist born and raised on Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi, where I continue to live, learn, and create. I hold a BFA in Graphic Design from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa.
As a designer, I am deeply inspired by my surroundings, the cultural diversity of Hawaiʻi, the stories of local communities, and the rich visual language found in everyday life. I approach design with thoughtfulness and curiosity, often blending digital and analog techniques to create work that feels both personal and intentional.
Collaboration is one of my favorite parts of the creative process. I truly enjoy working with others, exchanging ideas, and building off each other’s strengths to bring projects to life. Whether it is screenprinting, photography, music, or a new medium I am currently exploring, I am always excited to learn, experiment, and grow.
